More information about the City-Wide Open Studios Weekends in 2010 Will Be Posted Shortly.Open Studios Weekend 1-September 25-26, 2010 Open Studios Weekend 2-October 2-3, 2010_________________________________________________________ Information about our 2009 event given below: Join in the fun!This weekend, over 150 artists from across the Greater New Haven region will open their private art studio to the public. City-Wide Open Studios provides visitors with opportunities to meet these artists and experience their new work in person. Plan Your Studio VisitsSTUDIOS ARE OPEN: October 3, 2009, 11 am - 6 pm October 4, 2009, 11 am - 5pmThis website provides you with the tools to map own your studio visit route. Start your planning by first previewing the participating artist artwork through portfolios in the Artist Directory. Here, you may search by artist name, neighborhood, medium, keyword, or by distance from your house or another zipcode. Below the studio address you will find a mapping link that will open the location in Google Maps. You may also use the blank neighbood maps provided below to create a custom plan. West Haven offers several locations including a collective of artists showing at West Cove Studios, and an incredible exhibition at the University of New Haven. Complement your visit to Westville with a stop at one of the many area businesses or restaurants. Visit local studios in the Fair Haven neighborhood, and then meet over 100 artists showing in the Erector Square. Stop by Artspace to view the juried CWOS exhibition, Dispersion, and walk to numerous open studios in the neighboring blocks. And, don't forget to stop at Paier College of Art for a preview artists destined to be the "next big thing."
